Does any one have any information about a Charles Burton born Aston 1873 who possibly became a Major or Lord Major of Birmingham. His sister Ellen was my great greatgrand mother.

I've just had a look at the list of Lord Mayors and I can't find a Charles Burton amongst them. :(

Update

I have received more information on Charles (Charlie) Burton. It appears that he was possibly Mayor of Coventry. In the 1901 census he is living at 33 Ettington Road Aston and working as a collector (taxes?) and clerk. Does any one know where I can look for lists of mayors?

Thank you for looking Colin. The information that I had came down through the family so I will have to see what else I can find out about Uncle Charlie.
