Wendy, what a lovely picture that is. I cant imagine what the drivers of the tethered horses were doing.......:rolleyes:

I served my apprenticeship at Parkinson Cowan Appliances, just round the corner from the Bulls Head, a later building at that time, and some of us used to have a quick pint in there at lunchtime.

It later got renamed The Manor House and is currently a pile of rubble, having been demolished a year or two ago.
