Brooke Tool

Bronson

knowlegable brummie
My first job was at the Brooke Tool which was on the Warwick Road in Greet. The day I started was April 1st 1964, from day one I knew I would not stick it, it's not that I'm lazy but I had other ideas. In September I got my wish and joined the Royal Navy. Yes I did get some stick because of the date at the Brooke Tool....

I started at work at the Brook Tool a couple of years earlier than yourself I left school on the Friday and I started on the Monday, I somehow stuck it out until the Christmas. I was only one of many jobs that I had in my younger years. I could never get on with the fact that youngsters were expected to do the same jobs as everyone else (very often more) for less than a third of the money.
