A location name no longer in use, but seems to have been a recognised location in the the mid-1800s. From the late Bill Dargue's site he tells us:
'End' denotes that it was a settlement at the far end of the manor, in this case Handsworth.
William Hutton in his 1783 History of Birmingham described the route of the Roman Icknield Street as passing this ..... Ikenield-street . . . extends . . . over Handsworth-heath, entering a little lane on the right of Bristle-lands-end, and over the river Tame, at Offord-mill, [Holford] directly to Sutton Coldfield........The name, Bristnalls End, described a location south of Birchfields on Birchfield Road, just south of Trinity Road.
A couple of newspaper extracts mentioning Bristnalls Endnare below. The 1834 extract is in connection with changes to the railway and mentions "Perry Bristnall End". The 1839 extract talks about the toll gate and toll house at or close to Bristnalls End.
Another newspaper extract mentions a "Miss Riley's, Bristnall End per C.G" (? possibly a school ?) contributing funds to the poor and destitute.
