A long shot: Does anyone have (or know of) any images of Breedon House in Kings Norton, or its estate area? The house was located where the Cotteridge Board School was built (opened in 1900). First mention I have found of it is in a newspaper advert for 1834. It went through multiple hands in the 19th century (including John Cash and John Lane Snow) before being occupied by the Baldwin family, papermakers, from about 1860 until James Baldwin jnr died in 1894. After that, the Maisonette Dairy Company (Sugden & Smith) used part of the site for a short while, until the house was demolished to make way for the school. The estate lands were laid out with housing, and some of the roads were named after members of the Baldwin family (Shirley, Heathcote, etc). I'm writing an article about the Breedon House estate sale in 1895, but I haven't yet found anything about the exterior of the house, so I don't know what kind of house or how old it was. The house is sometimes also spelled Bredon, but Breedon is the correct version. Any ideas welcome!
