This is an 1844 engraving. Please does anyone know more precisely where this was ? The image is listed as ‘Birmingham’. Looks to me very much on the outskirts of Birmingham. Viv

It could be Smethwick according to this article:
 
Fox & Henderson , mentioned in the reference above, went bamkrupt in 1856, due to non-payment of an overseas contract. Their works later became the London works in Cranford St, shown on the the 1880s map below, This is presumably the site of the Bramah works
