Lived in Handworth from around late 18oo's onwards.
Ada Bosley lived in Bryony House nursing home in Selly Oak till the 60's when she was over 100 years old. Walter Bosley had sons Robert and Walter who were born in the late 1890's and appeared to stay in the Birmingham area.

Tracing your family is stressful enough without someone throwing a spanner in the works so I apologise before I begin.

I have found no marriage for your Walter between 1891-1901 so certificates of the children will be needed to verify mothers name.

Now the interesting bit,I couldn't find a birth to match your Walter but IGI has a baptism for him
Walter Wisdune Bosley 30th October 1862 St Helens ,Worcester.
parents Robert and Ann.
I searched GRO index no birth was found.

GRO index has Robert Wisdome Bosley birth registered Worcester
Sept 1862 but there is no baptism for him and even stranger on the 1871 there is an entry for a William Wesdom Bosley age 8, son ,living in Worcester with Robert and Ann but there is no sign of a Robert 1862.

Did they register him Robert and change their mind when baptising him?

Ernest Robert Bosley birth registered March qtr 1897 Aston
ref. 6d 415

Walter John Bosley birth registered March qtr 1899 West Bromwich
ref. 6b 825

Thank you so much Alberta!
You have discovered things I never knew. I have no idea if he was registered and baptised with different names but I suppose this is a possibility. I just wish that someone from that part of the family was around. Up until a year ago I had no idea that they even existed!
