Looking for any information on a Sybyle Bissell, believe to be born around 1819 ? . Married about 1838 to a Charles M. Rosson. OR any history on Sybyles background thanks.:)
 
on the igi there is a sybel bissell b. 21 dec 1818 chr. 16 sep 1822 at st. phillips, bham

and theres a marriage of john bissell to sibyl gilbert 8 july 1817 harbourne, staffs
 
They married in December qtr 1838 Birmingham ref 16 482

Charles Rosson a gunmaker born Beds in 1816
Sibyl born birmingham 1820
Caroline b. Birmingham 1839,Charles b. Birmingham 1840,Mary Annn B Birmingham 1843,Sybyle,registered Sibyl Woburn 1845.

Sibyl Rosson died in West Bromwich 1905 age 86.
Charles died 1892 Aston age 76

In 1861 living Livery street with the addition of Emma Belinda b. 1854,Eliza b. 1856 and william Henry b 1859,Charles now gives birthplace as London.

Thanks, Shera and Alberta. Looks like you have given me possible gt-gt-gt- grandparents in john and sybyl. 1861 gives living with Eliza born 1856 who i believe married a Harry Cooper 1890 in west brom. Who had daughter Sybil Cooper b. 1891 my gran, dont know if there was siblings, as my gran never spoke of any but i believe upon her death my late dad discovered an uncle he did not know of. So far i have not proven her story that she was somehow decended from a duke in her family. I've found a clerk, gunsmith and a milkman. Still looking !.

in 1911 they were living 25 rookery rd handsworth, harry 56, eliza 54, herbert 15, sybil 20 (a teacher), and a boarder cecil petford aged 22 b. london.
 
Yes Shera, thats my family Cecil Petford is my grandad married Sybil october 1914. Who another thread i told you about his MBE for services to electricity eg Hams Hall.:):).
Be intrested to discover more about Harry and Herbert never heared of them but as stated my gran never spoke of past. Always put on airs and graces about her ancestry. Have got pictures of her parents and one of a lady who gran has wrote on the back gt-gt granmother but dont know if she is sybils gt-gt-gran or its my dads gt-gt-gran.

Hi, My Great great great grandparents were Charles and Sibyl Rosson. My Great great grandparents were Caroline Rosson and James Clarke.
One of their sons, Charles Alfred and his wife, Mabel Amy Malsbury emigrated to australia in 1913. Their son, Charles Reginald was my grandfather, and his son Charles Arthur, my father. I also have a brother called Charles Ronald. as you can see charles has become a family name
 
Hi, looks like we distant relations. Charles and Sibyl were my gt-gt-grandparents on my dads maternal side.their daughter Eliza married a Harry Cooper. Dont know much about them believe Charles was a gun maker ?. Still digging on this side of my tree.
 
Hi, Charles Rosson was a gun maker and was born in1816 in Stepney, died 22 november 1892 in Birmingham.He married Sibyl/Sybyle in1838. His Father Thomas a victualler,View attachment 64124 was born 21/2/1778 in Bedfordshire, died 24/10/1882 in Bedfordshire. Married Mary Seear born 1793, in 1811.
