Birmingham Victory Parade WW2

Do any of the mature folk remember the Victory Parade held in Birminham
celebrating the end of WW2?. Because the Senior Service i.e. The Royal Navy did not have a band of their own,it was led by a mass band all the units of the Sea Cadet bands of the different units in B'ham.myself I was in this band being a bugler in the T.S.Sutton unit, have tried many times to get photographs of the leading parade but with no success, and I wonder if anyone has got any?

The illuminated VE Day tram and bus

As the war was drawing to an obvious conclusion, the transport department, enlightened as ever, in those days set their minds to marking the forthcoming occasion by preparing an illuminated bus and tram. It wasn't the first time, as tram No 63 was decorated with lights for the George V Jubilee to tour the tramway system after 9.00pm on the evenings of 6 - 11 May 1935.
For VE Day, tram 341, which had taken the top taken off previously, was converted with a sort of hump-backed construction to support the trolley-pole. The basic colour as nI remember was light blue (which I thought wasn't the most suitable, but perhaps it was all they had). The slogan was "VE VICTORY 1939 1945". and the car toured the remains of the tram system after dark in the evenings from, details being advertsied in the"Birmingham Mail" in advance. As a lot of the new suburbs never had trams, they also converted bus 1116 to tour the rest of the city. Black and white pictures of both appeared in the papers afterwards, but I doubt if colour pictures were ever taken.
Any answers?
Peter
