This 1967 venture would clearly have benefitted from “waiting for a bus and a convoy of 5 show up”

I don’t think it’s surprising that these tours were more popular with Birmingham locals given the rate of change in Birmingham in the 1960s. Viv

So they expected Spanish and German tourists ! Viv.
Three quatifying football World Cup matches were played at Villa Park that year, Argentina v Spain, 13 July; Argentina v West Germany, 16 July; and West Germany v Spain, 20 July (Argentina's main language is Spanish), so yes!!
