Hi chocks2: There was a mention on the BHF of this medal in 2009 and Ray Barrett mentioned that his father had one and that it was given to all schoolchildren in

Morning Chocks2,
I was surfing BHF and noticed your item on the " Birmingham medal ".
This medal ,but inscibed "Australia", was issed to all school children at the end of WW1 , It was called the Australian peace medalion . I dont know how many were issued must have been in the thousands unfortunaly not many survived,
I have two of them on display at the Pinjarra ( Western Australian country town ) RSL (British legion).
