image.jpgimage.jpgCan anyone please name the Mayor and Lady Mayoress that my Grandfather, Harold Black, is meeting so I can date the photo please?
 
Harold Black in April 1954 was commissioned to write the 1936-50 volume of the History of Birmingham Corporation.
 
There appear to be some articles in the Bham Daily Post 29 May 1954 for a presentation to Harold J Black on his retirement being presented.
 
I was aware he had written this book and wondered if this was following its publication. However, I think it could be following his retirement. Thanks Master Brummie.
 
They are on findmypast. I don't have access to the actual scans but other members do and they might be able to post one if you don't have access.
