Birmingham Local Hearts Award 2010

Key Hill Brian

Proud Brummie
Last night in the Banqueting Suite of the Council House, Deputy Lord Mayor Micheal Wilkes presented the Friends of Key Hill and Warstone Lane with second prize in the Community Groups Award of the Birmingham Local Hearts Awards 2010. The Friends were kindly nominated by Bev Nash of Bereavement Services, and the awards are for Volunteers working in the Community. Being nominated was an honour, winning this award was beyond our expections and is greatly appreciated as recognition of the work being done 'on the ground'.

Fantastic news Brian. It's a great testament to the work that has gone into preserving these beautiful graveyards. Well done everyone!

Well done Brian, and all your hard-working colleagues too.

Thanks for all your efforts in making the Cemeteries so beautiful now.

Rosie.
