Thanks so much!! Do you know if there is any way of finding out what the occupation of the owners was? The reason I ask is that my mother was born at 5 Plough and Harrow Road and I believe it was a home for unmarried mothers and on my mothers birth certificate her birth mother puts her address as Claremont road and that she's an assistant in an antique shop and I just wondered if she lived above a shop

I've no idea as how to find that out.... Sorry.

Both addresses have just the one person of voting age registered.

Can anyone else help?

Joanne, In 1921 and 1032 the directories give Claremont Road as just a private address , no shop listed.
