Birmingham Cooperative Dairies 1930's

My Grandad worked at the Co-op Dairy on Vauxhall Street, Aston for about 2 years. I'm not sure of the exact dates but I know he left school at 14 which would have been 1934 and he had a job somewhere else before working at the Co-op. Unfortunately, my Grandad's memory is not what it used to be so I was wondering if anyone could fill me in on working life at the Co-op around this time?

Don't know if this is still current as they seem to have disappeared from the web. There's an ad for an old appearance by someone from the Co-op history Soc at https://stirchleycommunitymarket.wo...rative-history-group-at-next-tuesdays-market/ which includes " Anyone interested in joining Midlands Co-operative Society (of which the History Group is a part), requiring more information on its activities or wishing to learn about the history of the Co-operative Movement should contact the Member Relations Office at the BMI, Margaret Street, Birmingham B3 3BS. Tel 0121 233 1545 or via the websitewww.midlandsco-op.com. More information is also available on https://www.madeinbirmingham.org/coop.htm."
Another site (https://www.local-history.co.uk/Groups/wmids.html ) gives contact as "Co-op History Group
Contact: Mr Duncan Chew 21 Fordhouse Lane, Stirchley, Birmingham B45 8NP Email 17/03/09"

Hope this helps. I know the history group have a lot of material and have published books on the subject. The Website links for the Co-op within the market quote do not work.
