Hi can you help me ive got a problem Richard Bird had a son in 1777 called John. I have two differant wifes for John one called Rachel and the other was called Hannah and i dont know witch ones is the right onecan any one help Colin

Hi Colin, a bit more info would help - the listings don't start til 1837,but there is a linked family tree which someone else has compiled, which shows a John Bird b c1774 in Sutton Coldfield, marrying an Hannah Taylor on 28 Oct 1799, there is also christening record for him in June 1774 in Sutton. Parents don't match though, they are listed as John Bird b 1745 and Jane Hopley.John and Hannah had 3 children, Richard b1803, John born 1805 and Mary b 1808. In the 1851 census he was in the Workhouse age 77.
Can't see anything for another marriage, but will have another look later.
Sue
