Love is a smile, a tear, a touch
Love says it all and means so much
Love is gentle, Love is kind
Love opens your heart
Love brings peace of mind
Love is forever, always and a day
Love's given freely
Whatever, come what may
Love gladdens your world
Love raises the soul
Love makes all things special
Love makes you feel whole
Love's always having a kind word to say
In trouble or strife
Love shows you the way
Love is the reason for being
Love is honest and true
I've found my reason for living
Yes My Darling It's You!
...........

LET IT BE ME. . .

My heart started to flutter the moment we met
Sweetheart it hasn't stopped fluttering yet
We've found something special, it just grew and grew
A love so precious, to me and to you
I feel so blessed, so happy, light and carefree
My love, your the best thing that ever happened to me
For all our tomorrow's, wherever we may be
My darling, please always
LET IT BE ME!

Thank you G G Jean, love writing poems, have done since I was at school ( Deykin Avenue ) and when I was in third year, aged 14, our Teacher, Miss Flanagan, got the class to write an Anthology Of Verse, loved it and have done since then.

Do not get angry if I should forget
For something is happening inside my head
I know I'm not stupid and not going mad
It's just that my memory is getting quite bad
I try very hard to think things through
And know it's very annoying for you
Please be gentle and try to be kind
It's not really me, just the state of my mind
I'm not unique, it's nothing new
And this could easily happen to you
There's no way so stopping the ageing process
So let 's live in love and sweet tenderness
Knowing that on each other, we can depend
Until the day our life on earth ends

Re: Did you enjoy your school swimming lesson?.

Loved swimming lessons, went with Yew Tree Road Junior School. We used to walk to Victoria Road Baths through Aston Park. Got myself free passes for being able to swim certain Lengths, a big help back then as I was one of five sisters.

A Beautiful World...

I did not know till I grew old
What beauty there was to behold
Now through these eyes I can see
All that lies in front of me
A starry sky on a summers Eve
Vivid colours of autumn leaves
Trees that stand so tall so bold
What stories they have never to be told
The greenery of the countryside
Rivers reaching far and wide
What a pleasure it is to sit and stare
At a garden tended with loving care
I love to hear birdsong in the morning
Telling us a new day is dawning
And what could be a better sight
Than a glorious sunset at start of night
.....

A winters Morning...

The sun is shining oh so bright
After a winter's cold, cold night
Fallen snow covers the ground
It's glistening light spread around
The trees stand in frosty splender
Reaching out, so tall, so proud
Dressed in their finest wintry gown
Majestic, Magical, Serene
Beauty like I've never seen!
