I am reseaching the BEECH family that lived in Birmingham at 4 back 32 Upper Gough Street from 1851. The head of the family was William Beech born c 1809, and was a Policeman. William died in January 1875
Can anyone help me to find out more information about him - especially where and when he was born and what type of Policeman he was. After contacting the Birmingham Police Museum I was told he was never employed by them so where did he work and what type of work did he do?
Canal Policeman, Railway Policeman, or just a nightwatchman.
William Received a Pension - Can I find out where he worked from a pension??
I have the 1851,61,71,81 Census records but cannot find him on the 1841 census.
Can anyone out there give me any guidance
Many thanks
