I am research the Surname BEDFORD in Birmingham and wonder if someone might be able to help me sort out the following by doing a ‘look up’ in the Parish Records:
1) William Bedford who married Sarah Ann Maddox
on 29 Sep 1856 at Saint Jude, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.
IGI Batch No. M073602
I am presuming /hoping that the Father’s name and Occupation would be given for each Spouse.
I’m looking for a John Bedford, as the father of William, but would be interested to find whatever info is available, including William Bedford’s occupation. I have traced my BEDFORD connection to Birmingham back to approx. 1782...
2) A Christening
Name: William Bedford
Date: 28 Sep 1856 at St Thomas, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.
Parents: William Bedford and Sarah Ann (surname not given)
IGI Batch No. C041171
My question re the child ‘William Bedford being christened. Are the parents the same adults who were married on the 29th Sep 1857 at another Church....
I tried looking through the various Census for another family which contains parents 'William & Sarah Ann'.... but have not found /noticed them.....
Any help would be much appreciated.
