Looking for baptism of George Frederick Clarke, born 04 May 1886 in Birmingham, St. Martins, Warwick. I would appreciate any help.

Hi Don I have checked the records for baptisims and I can not find a record for George Clarke's baptisim on 4 May 1886 at St Martins. Have you a record for any other children that I can check. I now wonder if it's a mistake on the IGI. I also checked 1885 and 1887 with no luck.

The baptism could be several years after the date of birth, so it could be a long search!
Sometimes several children from the same family were done in a batch, so it might be worth looking around the time of brothers or sisters. I had an instance where four children from the same family were baptised on the same day - oldest in their teens, youngest about two!
If you know the dates of birth for siblings would be worth adding them here as well.
The other thing that sometimes prompted baptism was an impending marriage - either of a mother/father to another partner or of the person themselves.

I also checked the date of bith given as 1860 on the IGI. It states from locally extracted info so it wasn't submitted by a member. I also checked other names like Clarke without the 'e' but no luck.
