I've had a look in a 1970s kellys directory, but the only thing listed in Adams Hill was Chancellor Ronalds Council School. :(

You don't mean Shenley Fields Children's Home do you? That wasn't far from Adams Hill if I remember rightly.

My Wifes Mother used to work at the childrens home in the 70s and my Wife says it was on the corner of of either Carmel Grove or Lutley Grove and Adams Hill.

I went to Woodgate J & I School which as right by there, most of the kids from the home went there i think, my brother was in a class with a lad from there... you could try Facebook, they have a page where anyone who went to that school can join, they also have one for Adams Hill senior school.....maybe some of them are on there, you never know it's worth a try as Facebook is free and a lot of people probably don't know that Friends Runited is free now, so don't use it as you used to have to subscribe

Good luck with your search
