Annie was born 1878/9 in Birmingham
In 1881 she is with her grandmother Mary Webb next door to her parents
Robert Barnes /Sarah Ann Webb who married 1878.
In 1902 Annie married Frank Griffin ,on the cert. it states Robert Barnes caretaker at lead works address 41 Wellington Street.
Robert Barnes was born in wiltshire 1857.
Cannot find any of them after 1881.
Any help appreciated. Alberta.

Re: Annie Barnes

hi alberta, the reason you couldnt find them in 1891 is they were mistranscribed as "parnes"

they are in ladywood

robert barnes 35 carter b. wiltshire
sarah a 34 b. bham
robert 11 b. bham
annie 12 b. bham

this could be annie in 1901 in theodore st. bham

annie "burns" boarder single 21 screw wormer b. bham

boarding with rebecca malin and louie adams

Re: Annie Barnes

Thanks Shera for the 1891 info and 1901 Annie, this one family tree is causing me a few headaches.
When Annie married in Sept 1902 she gave her address as
33 Wellington Street, father Robert Barnes, caretaker in lead works.
I have searched the 1901 census but drawn a blank.

Re: Annie Barnes

i cant find robert in 1901 either. i checked to see if he had died but he didnt die until 1912 so should be about. perhaps someone will look on the 1911 for you :)
