Baptism/Marriages on 18/07/1791..PEARCE

skylark

Proud to be a Brummie !!
I had an Eureka moment yesterday, having asked for the info on a baptism for Ann Pearce on that day, & then info on the marriage of Elizabeth Pearce & Asa Smallbrook ( info very kindly supplied) it was only when I came to write up my notes did I realise that these events had happened on the same day (!) I am getting old folks ! So now I am left wondering if this was "job lot" by the Pearce family & perhaps there are other baptisms/marriages that happened on the 18/07/1791 in St Martins with the surname Pearce. Parents were Thomas & Mary Pearce for the baptisms. Can some kind person look at the registers for this date please???

Many Thanks in advance,
Margaret.

I had a 'job lot' day as well - though a few years later. At the time I didn't have the DVD, so I was looking at it on microfilm and couldn't believe what I was seeing!

Just looking for you...

Can't spot any more for you - though there is a wedding of John Pearce (widower) and Mary Jackson (widow) on 14th November 1791. Witnesses are Ann Holmes and Sam Brooks

My thanks to you for taking the time & trouble to check on the register for me, perhaps I was hoping for a miracle so I could stop looking for this family..back to the drawing board for me.

Many thanks once again.
Margaret.

Hello Alberta, sad reading indeed, especially as John & Benjamin were twins. Thanks for the 2 new names you have given me ( Mary 1784 & Sarah 1793). I have a copy of the 22/01/1776 marriage (Thomas signed his own name). On the marriage cert of his daughter Ann 23/12/1793 also at St Martin's the witnesses were Thomas Pearce & Mary Pearce, once again Thomas Pearce signed his own name....now to my eyes the signatures look alike for Thomas, which means I have the correct family...but I wonder if anyone could have a looksee & say whether they agree with my findings ???? Many Thanks,

Margaret.
