skylark

Proud to be a Brummie !!
Hello there folks,

I have a baptism at st Martins 21/09/1853 Charles Henry Reeves.

Any info will be much appreciated.

regards, Margaret :)

Reeves

Hello Margaret, :) If you go into the alphabet section for names on the site and look for Gobby you will find a message about the Reeves which i have left for him, it saves me typing it again. If you want to know more mail me...Cat:)

Well this is a really bad one to decipher it looks like the father is William and the mother Clarissa or something simmilar, the abode could be Avery St or something simmilar and the occupation Foiler?????? I am sorry I just can't read it.

Mmmm! Thanks for looking at this baptism for me, Wendy. I think the
mother could be Charlotte ? In which case this is probably one of my lot !
Thanks again, Margaret.

Hello Catkin,
I don't think that this baptism relates to the names that you gave elswhere on the site.. Thanks anyway, Margaret.

LDS have an extracted entry,

Charles Henry Reeves
born 2nd August 1853
baptised 21 September 1853 St Martins.
parents William and Charlotte.

Could the occupation be 'Fitter'?

I will try a post it here if I don't get into trouble!

Here we are the wrighting is very hard to read but now I can see its Charlotte and occupation could be polisher?

I think it could be 'polisher' as well Wendy but, as you say, the writing is very hard to read.

Hello Folks,
did some research & found William Reeves on the 1861 census...states
he is a Gas fitter...so Fitter seems to win ! Thanks for taking an
interest .
Margaret. :)
