Trying to find where she was in 1901, she was born 17 Aug 1881in B`ham , I have her in 1891 and in 1911 onwards after she married George Frederick Girling in 1909.
Hi Rogergirling,
There is a Mary A Ballinger born around 1880, age 20, living at 161 Thimble Mill Lane, with her mom and dad John and Sophia and sisters Sophia, Emma and Agnes, working as stamp(Ithink) brass worker, born in Aston, Warwickshire, perhaps the enumerator got middle name wrong as both Sophias and Mary had A as their middle initial.
Regards, Sue
Hi Sue
Thanks for the reply, I did find the one you mention but the parents dont fit.
She was my Grandmother and the odd thing is her husband to be, George Frederick Girling was also missing from the 1901 census, they did not marry untill 1909 but perhaps they were together somewhere in 1901.
