Aston Parish Monumental Inscriptions

ADELE

master brummie
Hello seasons greetings to all and many thanks for all the help everyone has given me over the last few months.
Todays request if any one can help. Sarah Annie Watson died 22 November 1896, her husband John Watson died 6 September 1904, i wondered if there is an entry for the burials on the parish records. Only found out yesterday they were buried in the grounds of Aston parish church, they didnt have a headstone, that suprised me as John was fairly well off. I believe that other children were also buried in the next graves.
Thanks Adele

Hi Jennyann
many thanks for that. This may seem a daft question, do you know if i can get the same info for the computer. I would have to do the library with the micro fishe , thats a bit difficult with a 7 month old baby in tow. Im sure my little man would be a good boy but i dont really want to take him haha.
I can pay for individual records but if i could get the pages that would be better, hey this may not make any sense. ive not yet been to the library to find info out yet mainly due to the kids.

Hi Adele: I think you can only view the index for Aston Parish at the Main Birmingham Library on Micro Fiche.. You could phone them and ask about this. I think the Monumental Insciptions listed on the sites are a name guide only. I am sure it is difficult with your baby son. Someone else on the forum may know more than I do about this. Good luck on this.

Hi Jennyann
Thankyou for your help. Daniel has happily gone over to a bottle today so im sure i will be able to get away to do my own research. If we dont get the snow i could get up to the library this week, daddy will have to baby sit a 4 year old who thinks shes 20 and my little man.
The site you told me about was great, it might be an indication of other relatives who were buried in the same parish
