Hi all
I'm researching 'sweetheart brooches' - copies of military insignia made into brooches and given to family members particularly during the two world wars. I know many were made in Birmingham and I'm looking at the archives in the museum and library but the names of small family businesses that I believe often traded from home have often been lost. I wonder if anyone knows anything that could help? Also if you had family members who gave or owned one of the brooches I would love to hear from you. Thanks. I'm posting a photo of a typical example. Nell.
