I am researching my wife's family history and believe that her Gt Grandfather Charles Albert Gilbert brn c1869 in Birmingham married a woman by the name of Sarah Helen or Ellen Argyle brn c1863 in Birmingham.

I have found a possible match on the 1871 census - a Sarah Argyle brn c1863 in Birmingam, Parents Charles Argyle brn c1842 in Litchfield and Sarah ? brn c1844 in Fazeley. Two other children Henry brn c1860 and Charles brn c1861 are also listed.

Sarah Argyle 'vanishes' off the census records by 1891 which is good because I know that Charles Gilbert married his Sarah before 1890

I am currently awaitng some confirmation of what I've found from my wife's uncle but if anyone else is researching this part of the Argyle family please get in touch.
