An early ambulance from Allday & Onion

Imagine being an ambulance person with a vehicle like this and the choice between taking the fastes route or the easier incline. How they must have dreaded call outs to St Benedicts Rd or Hill St or Kingston Hill. The heading should read Alldays & Onion.

I see what you mean OH. It must have been very scary for everyone, cyclists, passenger & pedestrians. There were no straps for the passenger either. It must have been quite nasty to have a broken bone & be taken over cobbles.

It has actually got brakes, of the type that press down on the front (solid) tyres. E.
