I'm looking for possible allotments which may have been on or near to Alum Rock Road around the early 1900's or so. Any maps or evidence I can gather would be most welcome to a lady Ive been helping in South Africa.
I lived in Hazelbeach Road, Alum Rock in the early 70's and there were allotments behind my house. The entrance was in Ward End Park Road and as far as I know the allotments are still there.
I lived on Hazelbeach Road and remember these allotments also.
Not sure if this is of help but there were also some allotments of the top of Lime Tree Road which was nearby but closer to Washwoodheath Road.
