Any one recall the above? My first employer 4th September 1939, the day after the outbreak of WW2.

In the back to back houses in Inge st there is a sound recording by George Saunders the tailor who came to Bham from St Kitts and when he could not get a tailors job he tells how he went to work at Hughes biscuit factory
