Alcock - photo album found

A couple of years ago I rescued a family photo album from on top of a skip outside a social services residential centre in Selly Oak which was closing down. The name inside the cover of the photo album is M W Alcock (the M could be an H or Y). This gentleman was a disabled chap who possibly had polio in the 1950s as in the photos he goes from an able bodied child to a teenager using a wheelchair. I made some enquiries and found out he died some time ago in the Beeches Home in Ladywood. But the photo album is really wonderful and contains this gentleman's family photos with 3 or 4 very old ones going back a couple of generations. It looks as if he had an older sister. So if there is anyone out there who might have been related to this gentleman or his sister, a cousin etc, please get in touch because there's a fantastic photo album here waiting for you. I won't throw it so contact me whenever.

What a lovely find and how kind of you to rescue it from the skip.
