Saw this advert in Acocks Green yesterday. Don't know anymore details but might be worth a visit

The BMW M/Cycle was popular with the children, girls & boys. Part of the West Midlands Police Band entertained the visitors. Len.
 
been inside it many a time :rolleyes: in the course of work that is ..the traffic officer with the bike I beleive is one who I have been with on a number of occasions accidents stolen vehicles etc I thought he was based at Chelmsley ? Solihull :)
 
missed the cake towards the end of the day, seems such a waste of a lovely buiding, hope it stays in use in someway, maybe they should do something similar more often, involve the community etc.

They still have some of the original officers there, you don't see them very often. Just like the ones operating today.
 
The Stables, I was shown the Horses circa 1937, Mounted Police Officers were stationed at Acocks Green until the costcutters checked the cost. Len.

When i was going around the open day at the "nick" there was lots of old pictures decorating the walls of old Acocks Green. I noticed someone was, who may be from off here, was taking pictures of all the pictures. Someone has now asked me about a picture of the Great Western pub being built that was apparently on show, did anyone from here take a copy of that picture? Think they were all supplied by Acocks Green library so not a problem if no one did can call in and ask, just wondered.
