“ABJ Autocycle of 1950 with 2F engine and pedals, but very similar
to the two-speed Motorcycle from the same firm.”

“This make was announced in July 1949, the correct company name being that of its chairman, A.B. Jackson. They were located in Pope Street, Birmingham. Pre-war, they had produced the Raynal autocycle, which was a production version of the 1937 Jones prototype, and they also made bicycles, so they were not strangers to two wheels.

As with many other marques, their range was based around Villiers engines and was launched with two 98 cc models.”
