A Tower Crane and it,s Erection over New Street Station

If you have ever pondered how they put the Tower Crane,s up in Brum then this video may help? https://www.youtube.com/user/Horsencart#p/a/u/1/r3qP2W5vVPI it appears to me that they put them together with s sledge hammer, I recentley filmed another Tower Crane going up near Park St ( footage soon to be on YouTube) and they used a big hammer as well so it was not a one off event

They had to stop the traffic in Station St every time the Mobile crane turned as the back end was to close to the passing buses
 
As a construction worker I have seen many cranes erected if you ever get the chance try to catch the mounting of the traverse and the installing of the counter balance now this is something for men only with a head for heights. Dek
 
I am now up loading a film of the erection of another crane (near to Park St) in the film the top bit is added to the tower? I think that the crane near to Park street is much higher than the one at New St it will take while to upload the film
