A bit stuck now!

Charlie

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN
I have now found that my 3xgreat grandfather (John Charlesworth) was baptised in Ashby-del-la-Zouche in 1754. On the Parish Record it just says his father was Thomas - no mother's name given.
Any idea how I can proceed from here - I think there were a few Thomas Charlesworth's in Ashby!

cant help much charlie but on the igi there are also some possible brothers and sisters

mary charlesworth 8 jun 1752
thomas charlesworth 30 jun 1761
elizabeth charlesworth 4 mar 1759
margaret charlesworth 20 nov 1763
rebeccah charlesworth march 1765
stephen charlesworth 3 jul 1770
jane charlesworth 9 jun 1773

all with same batch no., in ashby de la zouch and just thomas charlesworth as father

Thanks mate. I saw those...just wondering how I can find out which Thomas was my 4xgt grandfather. I even went to Ashby and found Charlesworth headstones.....not mine I'm afraid - but I'm determined to make 'em link up with MY family somehow (never found any headstones before) :(. It's flamin' difficult to know how to proceed when you get so far back though isn't it?
