Have only just became a member, and was looking at what had been posted recently. This has surprised me as I have just found out that my great-great grandmother lived at 65 Witton Street in 1888!

That old map ties in with the current location of 58 -trouble is that is a terraced house and the report says " tiny workshop" - yet just past that the street is more commercial -where one would actually expect a workshop -confused

You say it does say tiny workshop. A workshop can be a small shed, or a garage, and that would fit wth it being small. Hockley used to be full of one room jewellery workshops, often in buildings that could have been taken for a terraced house.
