427 Stratford Road Sparkhill as it was & now

Sparkhill Lad

master brummie
Just to show the changing pace of our lives.

The black & white picture was taken in August 1964 out side my house with my beloved Aerial Leader bike and Scamp the dog on the doorstep.:) :) :)

Just 3 weeks ago when in Brum I went past "the old place" to find this dramatic change it is now a shop (estate agent), hardly recognisable !! took my life in my hands to get a picture and waiting for the traffic to clear, considering it was a Sunday it looked more like a full blown market was going on,but that is life.

Including another picture taken years ago at the Motorcyle Museum (pre major fire) must have been late 70's early 80's, showing the bikes there. Mine was the same as the red one but I had it in blue.

Time marches on.:(

Great photo's Sparky, I bet you took a chance taking the photo on the Stratford Road now. I love the black and white one it reminds me of my Aunts house, suppose them barmen will be discussing your bike!
