i have some one on the 1891 census living at this address with her mother and siblings but there are loads more people living there too was it a work house or something similar please???

In the late 19th century the area around Bartholemew Street Duddeston Row was known as Little Italy and there were many lodging houses and hostels, so it is very possible that number 40 Bartholemew Street was one of those.
