With help from Terry Carter I was able to sort out the details on my Grandfather's medal card that gave some indication of his war history.
More information has now been released. Can anyone help with the following.
Any details about the 3/3 South Midland Brigade RFA?
Photo's of the recruiting office on Stoney Lane?
Suggestions why James Percy Johnstone was given as fit at discharge, fit at re enrolment and then discharged 74 days later with defective eyesight. (Could see quite well into his 80's). I am assuming he did not return to France in the 74 days.
(I know he suffered a shell strike that left him unconsious for 4 days but thought that was in the first Royal Warwicks push on the Somme.)
