1851 Census -Workhouse

Hi
does anyone know how to look at the 1851 census returns for Birmingham or Aston Workhouses.
I am trying to trace some family and cant find them on the 1851 census and just wondered if maybe the Workhouse could be the answer.
regards
Amanda

Amanda the only help I can suggest is that institutions usually listed people by inital only.

Hi Amanda, if you're using A******ry or another site, the searching for a person by name would include anyone in a workhouse at the time of the census

Ho Amanda, I have found the Aston Workhouse on the 1851 census, the list is rather long to post here, but If you could give me a name to look for I'll see what I can do.

Cheers Nick
