I have found a possible match for my ancestors on familysearch.org. Thomas Newey married Anne Anchor on 13th Nov 1817 at Saint Martin, Birmingham. Would anyone be able to find a record that give more information such as witnesses or where they lived? Thank you in advance!:)

Hi Shabra, Thomas Newey was from the parish of Stratford Upon Avon the only other info is the witnesses sadly I can only read one which looks like Mary Maria Gilbert.
Early records don't give abode, occupation or fathers names sorry.

Brilliant Wendy, thank you! :D I spent a lot of time yesterday finding ancestors through the IGI batch lookup - knowing Stratford will allow me to try the same for Thomas. Do you know if people got married in the wife's parish in 1800? When did that tradition start?
