10th Worcester Batalion

Mashman

Brummie babby
My Great Grandfather John Edward Taylor B) December 1890 in Lye served in the Battalion during WW1. His service number was 19929. He was killed in action on 28 October 1918. I have found his medal card and his war grave.

Just wondered if anyone could tell me any more information about him or where I could get further information

Hi Mashman

I take it you have the information for John Edward Taylor off the CWGS. According to Soldiers Died He was born & lived in Cradley & enlisted in Worcester. He is shown as Died 28/10/18. This can be through a number of reasons one being the Flu epidemic at this time. He may have been a prisoner of war as he is buried in Cologne Southern Cemetery Germany.

Regards

Tony
