    Just turned out of the Canteen 1931

    Three Fireman. 1931 as written on the back of the photo. I know the man on the left as William Cheshire. Fire station unknown. He was active in the Second World War as a fireman with his wife Lily working on the switchboard for the service.

    Aston Fire Station - Ettington Road

    Aston Fire Station - Ettington Road - c1922 This date is more likely to be 1924. The foundation stone was laid 26 June 1923. The official opening was 19 November 1924. The Station would have only just opened after moving from Chester Street, Aston.
