    Jean, thats brilliant Betty was the daughter and Gerald is my Mum's husband. I wasn't sure whether it showed the correct shop and obviously can't show Gerry as its a surprise birthday present for him.

    Thanks, I've scoured the Internet and can't find anything with a recognisable picture of the shop. My Mum's husband was brought up in the shop and has just recently finished writing about his life and thought a picture would be a nice present.

    Can anyone help - I'm trying to get a photo of the bakery that used to be in Wheeler Street at 104 - it would have been called G E Amos & Son. It would have been there for late 1930's through to the 1950's.
