It is a Keith Berry photograph...wonderful shot. I doctored it for the cover and back. I credit Keith in the opening pages of the book. I also thank The Forum members for their help as an aid to my own memory. And a police Heritage Officer I had read the book and gave some vital factual information.

I thought there was a chip shop in Upper Sutton Street ? I lived in Clifton Road, this was about 1954.

On reflection it must have been in Upper Sutton Street on the left heading for Victoria Road

I lived at no 1 back of 107 clifton road until about 8. In my mind there was a chip shop owned by a greek family on the left in Park Road...do you recall it ?

I lived in Clifton Road as a nipper....there used to be a chip shop on the right in Park Road ...I think it was Jackson's correct if wrong please...We moved in about 1955.
