    'Old' Yardley Wood School

Thanks. As you drive along the Yardley Wood Road from the roundabout near Billesley Fire Station towards Swanshurst Road, there is an old building set well back on the left and virtually invisible unless you know it is there at SP089815.

Waverley Court, Wake Green Road Moseley.

Does anyone have any information relating to a very large, former house, now flats, called Waverley Court close to the junction of Wake Green Road and Grove Avenue, Moseley. There is a large nameplate on the building and it looks like it must have been owned by someone with a lot of money. Thanks.

    Hall Green Library

Thanks very much. 1955/6/7 could well have been when the land was sold. The library was opened in 1962.

    Hall Green Library

I noticed the lake, but that land was consumed in house building.

    Hall Green Library

Thanks again. Fascinating images which highlight the nursery perfectly. It would appear that nursery owners sold a fair amount of land because the library is some distance from the actual nursery. All I need now is the name of the nursery.

    Hall Green Library

I'm looking for information relating to the area occupied by Hall Green Library and the buildings behind the library on the Stratford Road. I understand that the land was occupied by a garden nursery and owned by the same family for a number of years before the nurseries were sold off and the...

Thanks for replying Chris. I can remember playing in the middle of Wilson Road and not a car to be seen. Incidentally, do you still live in Yorkshire. I live in Moseley, not far from where I was born at the Sorrento hospital (no longer). I never really found out why my mom had to travel from...
