    I am trying to find information on what happened in Birmingham on the first anniversary of the end of WW1. Would there have been a civic event in Victoria Square for instance? What date would war memorials have gone up round the town? Also slightly differently when were the 'Dead Mans Pennies'...

    Yes thank you for that and I have that information already. Also in the 1891 census he was in the Coldstream Barracks in Hanover Square so could have come home injured. I may have to send for his record to know all the details.
