On findmypast you can search using the street name but no one likely comes up. Probably just another family that were missed by or avoided the census takers.

They appear to be too old to be the people the OP is looking for. They're on the 1851 census, aged 36 & 38, with 4 young children.

As mentioned by Janice above, it was on findmypast. Strange, I couldn't find her on the 1921 census at all.

In 1911 her birthplace is incorrectly listed as Bham. She is listed as a Hospital Nurse in Bham, I assume at a hospital.

It's in Sussex Lyn, about halfway between Eastbourne and Tunbridge Wells.

It is also possible that Michael's widow is still alive, she appears to be listed on the 2025 ER.

Closest relatives to Evelyn would probably be cousins, children of Christina's 3 surviving brothers but all likely to be older than her. Also I would say now that Michael Onslow Bryant is almost certainly Evelyn's son as her grandmother (Thomas Hughes' mother) was an Elizabeth Onslow.

There doesn't appear to be any obvious kin connection between Catherine and Ada to Gordon Joseph Smith. He was born Nash, the illegitimate son of a Louisa Nash.

Catherine Winifred Hughes never married and in 1939 is living with Ada at 21 New Road, Meriden. She dies 14 Nov 1949. Ada Elizabeth Hughes married an older man Arthur Horace Hiorns in 1916 and is widowed in 1920. No children. As mentioned she is living at 21 New Road, Meriden in 1939. She dies...

Assuming Michael is her son then he married a Joyce Budge, reg. Dec 1952 Hove. There are no Bryant/Budge children registered local.

The Penns Lane address appears to have been her sister's house. She is listed there in 1939 and it's the address given on her husband's (Clement Brookfield) probate. No children for them.

Nothing seems to come up in a search of the Bham newspapers for 49 Bell Lane. A lot about dogs for no. 38 and many listings for new houses in the 1970s.
