    St Vincent's, Vauxhall Grove

Hi Therese Thanks for you reply. My mom would have gone to the newly built St Vincents school in Vauxhall Grove. It opened in 1931. I don't think she would have known your mom or your aunts as she would have been about 10 years younger, she was born in 1927. I don't know where you're living now...

Hi Therese I know it's over 3 months since you joined but welcome to the Bham History Forum. It appears we may have something in common. My mom who was born in Gt Lister St, went to St. Vincents but that was way before your time, it was around 1932. However, I do believe you know these names. My...

    Cause of Death??

    Cause of Death??

Hi Eric, you could be onto something there. I thought at first it may have been a shortened version of emphysema but it could be either of these two words. Thanks

    Cause of Death??

Hi, I wonder if anyone would be able to decipher the cause of death on the death certificate I have for my Great Great Grandfather. He died in 1870. The middle word word is " Exhaustion " and the bottom word is " certified ". It's the top word I'm having trouble with. Thanks in advance... Steve

    Lupin Street, Aston

Hi MWS: Nice bit of investigative work. :) That looks about right except for the spelling. Line 3: William Henry Talbot & Maria Margaret Doyle had a daughter in 1911 and called her Winifred, sadly she died in 1912. In 1920 they had a daughter and named her Winefride Monica. This is Dido's...
